You will work in a company operating in tourism in Brisbane.
Primary Purpose
The internship is aiming at giving the internship student a good general understanding of complex operational, logistical and commercial aspects of our tourism operation.
During your time with us we expect that you will be exposed to these activities & tools: fleet analysis, supplier and breakdown analysis, cost per movement and other metrics, reporting etc.
The student will be fully integrated into our fleet operations team and involved in all day-to-day operational activities in our fleet department.
Insight into the working environment of a fleet operations department will give you a better understanding how your theoretical knowledge gained at school/university applies to real business and it will also assist you in your future job search.
Program overview
The program involves projects across all Fleet Operation related functions:
Data analysis to reduce overall operational costs and increase guest service level through:
• Collation/Outsourcing and Instruction of potential Litigated files
• Collation/Outsourcing and Instruction of potential Mercantile related file
• Flowcharting new business practices for optimum efficiency through gap analysis and identifying opportunities, weaknesses and threats
• Terms and Contractual Reviews, Interpretation and Suggestions
• Financial analysis of recovery receipting
• Recovery coding and fault allocation
• Analyzing fault -v-Not at fault Claim Figures by Accident type
• Analyze data on guest service anomalies and identify opportunities for service improvement programs;
• Development of standard reporting (tables, charts and graphs) to monitor effectiveness of tracking debt recovery and timeframes
• Benefits tracking of costs saving initiatives.
• Whole of life costing analysis to determine optimal fleet life parameters.
• Other Fleet related projects as they arise
Selection Criteria
The successful student will possess:
• An advanced level of the English language skills, both verbal and written
• An understanding of business operations practices highly regarded
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to work to deadlines
• Excellent communication & people skills
• Advanced computer skills with intermediate to advanced Excel skills
• A pro-active and positive attitude
• Ability to identify root cause related issues
• Strong Project Management Skills will be needed to assist in
